ITS Guideline for Sustainable Transportation in Asia-Pacific

2013.12.06

ITS Asia-Pacific released “ITS Guideline” at the 20th ITS World Congress in October 2013.

The guidline is for helping policy makers in Asia-Pacific region to take a reference for
developing their own ITS Master Plan.  The members of ITS Asia-Pacific had worked
together for this book since the first Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) Regional
Workshop on ITS which was held in  2010 in Tokyo.

The guideline contains the current challenges in transportation,  the roles and benefits
of ITS applications, as well as the recommendation in developing ITS Master Plan.
ITS Master Plan serves a basis to bond the various ITS stakeholders from public, private
and academia sectors nationally and internationally toward the mutual consensus for
ITS Deployment.
